He trembles when we pray

Satan dreads nothing but prayer. His one concern is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, he mocks our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray. - Samuel Chadwick

Praying in the name of Jesus makes Satan flee,

this should bring us great comfort and admiration at His power!

So why do we often slip into periods and even prolonged periods

of prayerlessness? I think a lot of times we forget that there

is a very real spiritual battle going on. In a Beth Moore Bible study

I remember she said something along the lines of,

"When we sit at the feet of Jesus and commune with Him, 

the devil is forced to watch while our cup overflows." 

So, lets quite our souls and earnestly pray to our Creator, our Strong Tower,

our Defender, our Provider .. our Savior {+more}. Beg for our cup

to overflow.

The Pill

I came across a blog called Consider the Lilies on Homemaking Link Up from Raising Homemakers this past Wednesday because her caption "What about birth control pills?" caught my attention. Though I myself am not on the pill, this video taught me a lot of information I did not know. It's alarming. I want to encourage you [whether on the pill or not] to watch this video in hopes that you will see that the pill is an abortificiant and/or be able to share this information with others. 

I am a firm believer that the Lord gives and takes away life. Even this video shares that being on the pill can cause you to ovulate [if not taken every single day at the exact same time, etc.] resulting in a pregnancy and most often than not, a failed pregnancy because the egg is not able to implant thus making it an abortion. "Birth control" does not control birth, the Creator does.

Finding a new home church.

Our moving date: Saturday, October 29th - the day that it snowed roughly 6 inches .. in October! It took 3 hours to get here because the roads were so terrible. But our road was paved before us and the Lord guided us all here safely! For the first week we were here it felt like we were on a second honeymoon. I loved being able to spend so much time with my husband; having breakfast and dinner with him at a decent hour has not been something we've been able to share in a very long time. Not only that but just enjoying each other, it's been such a gift. In fact, just before we moved he was only home about 2 nights a week because of all the over time he was working and couldn't come home. The Lord has been so faithful in providing for us through my husband, we are so grateful!

For the past two weeks we have been searching our churches to make our new home. The first one we attended, we agreed we probably couldn't see ourselves there. The church we attended yesterday, we think we might like to be a part of! The worship was great, similar to where we came from. The one difference that we're not used to at all, is that it's a very young church - not meaning years they've been around but the ages of everyone attending / leading; the pastor that preached yesterday was 25 years old. The good thing is there's a lot of young married couples our age that we would have great fellowship and friendship with. They hold meetings on Mondays for new comers where we can ask any questions that we might have so we will do that, and pray that our questions get answered to see if this might be our new home church.
